So, our pal Bill has started work on my new recording studio and rehearsal room. The space will be killer as it is in my basement which has these thick poured stone walls from the late 1800's, which will make it very soundproof and very cool. The room will have a main room which we will use for rehearsal, as well as an isolation room which can be used to record drums and vocals. Now I need to determine what recording system to purchase. Protools?
We are hoping to have the room finished shortly after Easter, which will rock, as we are planning on recording an EP to be released early this summer.
Regarding the EP, we are planning on recording a couple new songs, re-recording a couple old songs, and throwing in another cover, like we did on "Hear & Now". This will be the first studio recording that we have done since "Hear & Now", and the first recording with our new drummer, Jeff Schaller. Stay tuned for more details!
